Recovery of drifting pumice from a volcanic eruption
A large amount of pumice stones erupted from the submarine volcano eruption of the Ogasawara Islands last summer drifted to the Amami region of Okinawa, causing serious damage to the fishing and tourism industries.
The drifting of pumice stones from the eruption of the seafloor volcano caused serious damage in various places. In order to deal with this problem, we brought in a floating matter recovery machine <YD-1200GYP series> and carried out pumice recovery work free of charge as a contribution to the community.
